Prolon...Pain, suffering and sucess (I hope)!
Updated: Jun 25, 2021
I am writing this late during Day 2 of the 5 Day Prolon Cleanse www.prolonfast.com but I will update as I go to give you some light at the end of the tunnel. June is a celebration month in our house; end of school summer begins, birthday, Father's Day. We went big this year and in preparation I ordered the 5 day cleanse to start some recovery sooner rather than later. I ordered the cleanse on www.goop.com and it came within 5 days of ordering but there is a special if you order directly from Prolon and it is $50 less. The packaging is clean and well organized. It looks scientific which makes you feel better when you realize how little food there is for 5 days. The instructions were easy to understand and individual boxes separate the plan by day.
Day 1 - start with a bar, vitamins and tea. Starving.
Add hot water to dehydrated soup. Olives. Kale crackers. Starting to get a headache and fall asleep at my desk.
Snack- tea, bar. I went home because I was so sluggish.
Dinner - Pea soup and a chocolate bar. At this point the headache was very strong and I was beyond hungry, more lethargic.
Day 2 - L Drink in a large bottle of hibiscus tea, bar. Not hungry until close to noon. No headache.
Mushroom soup. Olives. I was missing the crackers.
Hibiscus tea, olives. Feel much better this afternoon, not nearly as lethargic and no headache. I am just thinking about food. A LOT>
Day 3 - Same as Day 2 but the crackers were back and the evening bar went away. Day 3 was easy, I had lost my appetite and the headache was gone. The bloating had gone down. The thing I was missing was the ritual of a meal, with my family. I was on the couch drinking water and tea while they were eating.
Day 4- I had a long workday today so I made my L drink with hibiscus tea and didn't eat until about 2:00 when I had a bar. My appetite was still gone and I felt really good but as we rounded into the evening and I was making dinner for my family, I really missed the ritual so I sat with them and had a light dinner. It was wonderful.
It is now the morning of Day 5. I have a hard workout at 9:00 and I don' t think I will eat before but I am happy I had some protein last night to tide me over.
I would highly recommend this program. I feel great. It's highly achievable. I am hoping it gives me a restart. The next time I do it, I will start on a Sunday so that Thursday will be my last day. By the end of the week, I was ready to get back to more of a "normal".
